2 Stanley Accessories I Didn’t Know I Needed
Two inexpensive upgrades that make my Stanley a little better every day.
I use my Stanley all the time, and these are two of those little accessories I originally bought because they seemed useful—and now I wouldn’t want to be without them.
Neither one is expensive or exciting enough to make you think you need it. 😂 But they’re exactly the kind of practical little finds I love sharing because I actually use them.
1. The Flip-Straw Lid
I like having backup lids for my Stanleys anyway, but I especially like this one because some of my cups only came with the regular straw-style lid.
I prefer having a flip straw, and this lets me switch things up without buying another tumbler just to get a different lid.
The quality has been good, it’s affordable, and it comes in multiple colors so you can choose one that works with your cup.

2. The Silicone Boot
I originally liked the idea of a silicone boot because it protects the bottom of the cup—but I’ve realized I love it just as much because it makes my Stanley quieter.
If you’ve ever set one of these giant metal cups down on a hard countertop, you know the CLANK. 😂
The silicone makes it much gentler on my counters and other surfaces, and it’s especially nice in the middle of the night when I want a drink without making a ton of noise and waking up my spouse.
And yes, it protects the bottom too.
Plus… they’re cute. Which obviously doesn’t hurt.
Why I like it:
- Protects the bottom of the tumbler
- Makes setting it down much quieter
- Gentler on countertops and other surfaces
- Adds a cute little detail to the cup

These aren’t necessities—but they’re exactly the kind of small, inexpensive upgrades that make something I already use every day even better.
The flip-straw lid gives me another option plus a backup, and the silicone boot protects my cup, protects my surfaces, and saves everyone from the middle-of-the-night Stanley CLANK. 😂
Both are things I’d buy again.
